This well-loved family villa was ready for a new lease of life. Located in a beautiful traditional street set back from the beach, Island Interiors was charged with bringing this Jones Architect design to life.

Our clients returned to Auckland from living internationally and wanted to create a space for their family to grow. The design brief was to make the house come to life, with colour, pattern and vibrancy. A unique design was created that gave the house its own personality representing each member of the family but also places to escape to a more neutral, timeless palate.

The house’s traditional elements were highlighted throughout while marrying it with the new modern extension. Marble, wood, linen and natural products were used to create interest, depth and timelessness. Entertaining spaces were created to function for large gatherings as well as smaller intimate family events.

The final product is a home that is full of fun, colour, pattern and surprises. We loved working on this project and delivering our client their vision for their forever home.
